Deposit policy

Please read this before you pay a deposit. It's short, and it applies to everyone, whether it's your first tattoo with me or you've been coming for years. The last part is about the one-of-one designs in my gallery.

Your deposit

Your deposit books your session. It comes off the price of your tattoo.

Non-refundable

Deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel, change your mind or don't come to your appointment, I keep the deposit.

Moving your appointment

You can move your appointment once, free, if you tell me at least 7 days (one full week) before it. Your deposit moves to the new date. Moving it again needs a new deposit.

Less than 7 days before

With less than 7 days' notice, I keep the deposit. If something serious happens, like an illness, an accident or a family emergency, tell me as soon as you can. I'll look at what happened and decide if your deposit can move to a new date. If you're unwell, please don't come in. Let me know and we'll talk about it.

No-shows and running late

If you don't turn up, I keep the deposit. If you're more than 30 minutes late without telling me, I may treat it as a no-show.

How to tell me

Email me at bookings@alexfernandes.ink (or reply to any email from me), or write to me in your client portal.

If I need to cancel

If I have to cancel or move your appointment, your deposit moves to the new date. If we can't find a date that works for you, I'll refund it in full.

One-of-one designs

A deposit on a design from my gallery reserves that design for you: once it's paid, nobody else can take it, and it comes off the price of the tattoo.

Cancelling a design

If you cancel or don't come to your session, I keep the deposit, like any other deposit. You can move your session once, free, with at least 7 days' notice.

Six months

Your reservation holds for 6 months. If we haven't booked your session by then, I'll get in touch: if I offered dates and none suited you, your deposit becomes studio credit for 12 months, for any tattoo with me. If I never offered a date, you choose a full refund or the credit.

If the design can't work

If I cancel, or the design can't work at the placement you chose and we can't agree on another, I'll refund your deposit in full.

Your rights

This policy doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
